Allan Van

Defenseman Allan Van of St. Paul, Minnesota was one of the longest serving members of the United States national team in history.

Van first represented his country at the 1938 World Championships. By 1939 he had a World Championships silver medal hanging around his neck.

Following World War II Van returned to international hockey. In 1949 he helped Team USA to a World Championships bronze medal, and in 1950 he garnered another World Championships silver medal.

His international career ended with his career highlight. At the 1952 Olympic games in Oslo. The United States earned a silver medal in those Olympic games.
